While weather in Poughkeepsie tends to be on the cooler side, particularly during the long winters, visitors and locals of Poughkeepsie certainly take pleasure in the crisp, unadulterated air and the breeze from the Hudson. Northeast weather can be quite harsh in the snowy winters, but the pied fall foliage and the lush, much-awaited springs make up for any climate frustrations.
